B is for Baby Shower on the blog today and we’re featuring some sweet celebrations for expecting mothers. The party inspiration starts with this Owl Themed Baby Shower from The TomKat Studio. Cute green and white polka dot owl printables set the stage for this rustic yet elegant affair. The cute printables were used throughout the styling of this party. The collection included invitations, an “It’s a Boy” banner, owl advice cards (that guests filled out upon arrival), food cards and favor tags.

Fun polka dot fabric was used for linens and the food table backdrop, which helped tie in the design of the printables with the décor for the party. I really like the painted framed owl pictures that were used as décor accents for the food and beverage tables - a simple decoration, but it fits perfectly with this party theme.

If you are hosting a party for a rock and roll loving momma then you will love this Modern Rock Star Baby Shower from Hostess With The Mostess. This party is so bright and colorful that your eyes can’t decide what to look at first! The vibrant personalized printables used for this party are so creative and they look phenomenal. Using old records as decorations is such a great idea, and I adore the clothesline full of rock star baby gear.

Each guest that attended this shower was asked to bring their favorite book to the party. All of the books were then placed in a guitar case that was labeled “Collection of Classics” – what an amazing idea!  Another great idea for any rock star themed party would be to include some live music, perhaps an acoustic guitarist to play some rockin’ music during the celebration.

Many people like to incorporate things they loved from their childhood into their baby showers. If you are a fan of that concept, you’ll want to take a peek at this Golden Books Baby Shower from Aesthetic Nest. I really enjoyed Golden Books as a child and I think they make a great choice for a baby shower theme.

Just like Golden Books, this party is decorated with a blue, white and gold color palette. Decorations included vintage children’s classics – both toys and books. Old fashioned candy like Lemonheads and Sugar Daddy’s were also used as tasty treats and simple décor elements. The food was served in glass jars and on vintage platters, while displayed on a large tablescape that was decorated with classic books and toys. This adorable party would be a great way to welcome a sweet bundle of joy into the world.
