Question: How do you throw a celebration with a theme that appeals to guests young and old? Answer: With the help of everyone's favorite mouse! Mickey Mouse is a universal symbol of fun, and a party theme that all will love. We know there are tons of Mickey Mouse party supplies already available out there, but hostess Mariana Feely shared some great tips on how to make them yourself! Not only is she mother of the birthday boy, but she's a photographer, too! Check out the adorable photos she sent over from her son's Mickey Mouse bash.

The best part about the DIY decorations is that they are so easy to make! With just a little glue and circles of construction paper, Mariana transformed black paper plates into Mickey and Minnie shapes! (Minnie wasn't yet complete without her red construction paper bow.) The same concept was followed for these awesome goody bags. Construction paper cut outs were glued to plain red gift bags to turn them into the Disney mice.

Mariana chose a bright color scheme of red, yellow, blue and green, as well as fun polka dot prints! Where did she get that cool table cloth? It's actually wrapping paper! What a great tip for adding unique designs to your party display. Mariana used a Disney-style font to create table signs and food labels. Speaking of food- how adorable are these mouse cupcakes! To create them, just stick Oreo Minis to a regular sized Oreo using frosting.

To make sure everyone felt like a Mouseketeer, guests got to don ears and gloves in the homemade photo booth. Remember, you can also hire a costumed character to make a guest appearance as Mickey Mouse at the party! Thanks to Mariana for showing us how simple it is to bring your own personal touch to a party theme!
