Last week, GigMasters was given the wonderful opportunity to attend the Knot’s annual Cocktails and Connections party in Baltimore, Maryland. These events are a great way to meet other members of the wedding industry and make some new friends. The theme of the party this year was an Evening of Enchantment. There is no doubt that the entire evening lived up to the name.

The party was held at the 1840s Plaza in Baltimore, Maryland, an extremely impressive and spectacular venue. The entire event was planned and styled by Elle Ellinghaus of Elle Event Designs, who is as lovely as she is talented.  She truly created a magical evening.

The magnificence that Elle Designs created started even before guests entered the ballroom. As guests approached the venue, there was a beautiful pink carpet rolled out with candles lined along both sides.  There were “princes” standing at the door in tuxedos, greeting all of the guests and offering them an outline of the evening’s festivities.

The agendas that guests received looked as beautiful as wedding invitations (just take a look at them in the photo below). They were very clever as well – the evening was broken out into three sections: Cocktails in the “Wicked Queen’s Quarters”, “Tales in the Enchanted Forest” and “Happily Ever After.” Don’t you just love when the theme of an event is carried through to every last detail?!

Each part of the evening was held on a different floor of the 1840's Plaza. The first floor was decorated to look like the Wicked Queen's Quarters.  This area was styled with lots of dramatic drapery, reds and blacks, and many shiny red apples (the Queen's favorite).

On the second floor, guests listened to a fabulous presentation from The Knot (and The Bump) while seated in a gorgeous enchanted forest. Throughout the evening there were beautiful floral arrangements hand crafted by My Flower Box Events. Just take a look at the stunning creation below. We were lucky enough to meet the ladies behind these fantastic creations, and they were just as wonderful as their designs.

The grand finale of the evening was on the top floor of the Plaza, in a beautiful ballroom. This elegant room was “Happily Ever After” and it was decorated to be white, airy and romantic. This room was also filled with yummy treats like sparkling glittery cupcakes (yes...glittery). You can’t get much better than edible glitter! The "sweet nothings" were provided by Flavor Cupcakery, and they were quite delicious.

GigMasters was asked to provide the entertainment for the evening. Guests were dazzled by the wonderful magic of Benjamin Corey and had their fortunes told by the ladies of Carbone Entertainment.

The entire evening was truly remarkable! Attending an event of this magnitude truly made us feel like we were princesses.  We can’t wait for the next one!

So many fabulous vendors made the evening possible, that we just have to mention each and every one:
