Description
ALE Certified and OSHA Approved Ensemble!!!
SUMMIT has been playing together since 1999 and can effectively handle anything from Classic and Southern Rock to Modern Country, Folk or even JAZZ. The band features guitar, bass, drums, Dobro, Banjo, Fiddle, plus distinctive and Awesome lead vocalists .The members are experienced in the music they play and have collectively played in some of the top regional bands in the region and have opened for or played with such music luminaries as Willie Nelson, Darius Rucker, and Doc Watson. The vocalists each have their own distinctive styles. One of them is capable of belting out the soulful southern rock with the form and delivery that only a true southern boy can attain. The other has a smooth mellow voice that has been known to make the girls melt on those slow ballads that are done in a style that you have to experience to believe. Together they can cover just about everything from Thelonious Monk to Johnny Cash to Tom Petty and anything in between and when you add in harmony vocals from the remaining members, you have some POWERFUL FOUR PART HARMONIES that you just don't get with other bands.
The band SUMMIT is 100% self contained bringing both their personal back-line instruments, lights and, if needed, a PA system well in excess of 5,000 watts to cover any venue or event with clarity and ease so that the audience can hear and enjoy the show which contains the usual standard classics, originals and old hits that you just don't hear other bands play anymore. These guys have lived the songs they play and they LOVE playing them for YOUR crowd. They are equally as comfortable belting out Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd, grooving off on The Rolling Stone's... Honky Tonk Woman or getting the crowd slow dancing on Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton or Hank Williams Jrs. song Blues Man.
So, if you are looking for that special sound for your venue or event, you do not have to look any farther that the band SUMMIT. Experience what others have come to depend on as the standard for live music, the band SUMMIT.

Feedback
- I'm very happy we hired Summit to play for our wedding! Working with Steve was fantastic. He answered all our questions very promptly. They even learned a first dance song for us. They have a very large range of songs that kept all our guests happy, and they sounded wonderful. Our wedding was small, probably about 30 people at the music part of the reception, but Summit played like it was a giant concert. They happily accommodated requests, including playing Wagon Wheel multiple times. They even brought extra performers and played longer than the contract. I highly recommend Summit. They are true professionals, easy to work with and very accommodating! -- Joann G, Butler, TN, 7/3/2011
- Summitt performed for our wedding and they have amazing talent! Steve Holman, leader of the group, is very easy to work with. He accomodated many song requests for the ceremony and, when it came to putting together a particular sound and my desire to still have some cello in with the classical bluegrass instruments, he was very understanding and wanted to please us and our requests. They have a very large repertoire and can play anything from traditional bluegrass to contemporary songs heard on the radio today. We are so happy they played at our event! -- Amanda C, Clemmons, NC, 8/27/2011
- Summit was a pleasure to work with. Steve was very quick in all correspondence. Their music is great and they arrived on time and were true professionals. -- Niccole M, Farmville, VA, 6/13/2011
- The wedding turned out amazing!!! The band really helped keep the energy level up. They even coordinated with our square dance caller which was so much fun. Their cover of "I'm Yours" was the highlight of the wedding and we couldnt have asked for more. Highly recommended for other weddings or parties. -- Charles A, Chapel Hill, NC, 10/9/2011
