It was the racing guitar sounds of the Gipsy Kings that initially moved Rico Espinoza to pick up the guitar. Shortly afterwards, Rico listened to Paco de Lucia and Vicente Amigo, two poetic flamenco guitarists that changed his perception of the guitar. He was compelled to learn how to use this instrument to convey his thoughts and feelings. While learning the instrument, Rico also indulged in Afro-Latin music. He wanted to create his own sound. He began to write his own compositions and started to perform as a soloist and with small ensembles with various well-recognized musicians in Los Angeles. Rico recorded his first CD entitled "Echoes in the Park". His compositions are vibrantly colorful yet dark and nostalgic and his music can be described as a flamenco-chill lounge sound.

Rico Espinoza offers expressive instrumental guitar music to compliment your next event. Musical services can be performed as a soloist or with the accompaniment of additional musicians.

Although my budget was tight, I originally was just going to hire acoustic services only. However, Rico is well informed and knows how to meet the needs of the client and guests.
