DESCRIPTION:
I am a native of Texas and have been performing professionally on guitar for 20 years. I have performed extensively with various ensembles and as a soloist. I am a fingerstyle guitarist, performing primarily on a nylon string classical. I can use my steel string upon request. My solo repertoire is a fusion of various genres and time periods, as you will see from my songlist. In general, I prefer modern (all genres), romantic classical, latin, american roots, world, celtic, renaissance, jazz, flamenco, rock, blues and others. I teach guitar full-time privately at Lark Conservatory in Glendale and at my residence in Los Feliz. I also perform with a group including: male vocalist/rhythm guitarist,
female vocalist, and violinist.
We write and perform original folk-ish tunes with an influence from my guitar stylings.
We are available as a duet, trio, or complete band. I also have access to just about
any ensemble situation you might desire through my association with the Lark
Musical Society.
As a soloist, I am available and prepared for any event you think my music would suit.
I will learn new pieces to suit your event. If interested in an ensemble, we will do the same. I can perform completely acoustically (without a sound system) as well as with a sound system. My nylon string classical and steel string are both set up to connect directly to
my portable sound system (or any house sound system).
