Casey Lee Smith

Casey Lee Smith is a rising teen star. He’s a singer, songwriter and musician for this generation.

Since an early age, Casey has been singing and playing instruments, from the guitar and piano to drums and banjo.

Casey writes and performs his own music, a fusion of country, rock, jazz and blues. Performing at festivals, clubs and talent contests in Arizona to Nashville, Casey is always honing his craft.

He has performed at weddings, festivals, banquets, grand openings, concerts and other venues which allows him to bring his youth and experience to your event with whatever atmosphere you are wanting to create.

Casey is the selected performer from "Deborah Gibson's Electric Youth" for the South by Southwest (SXSW) 2009 Music Conference in Austin, Texas. "Casey was chosen because of his impressive talent, live performance skills and passion for music," said Camp Founder Deborah Gibson. The SXSW Underage Day Party is the first-ever effort from SXSW to recognize and highlight up-and-coming teen talent.

He recently released his sophomore EP, "Casey Lee Smith," produced and recorded by Recording Artist & Broadway Star Deborah Gibson, Gavin MacKillop (Miley Cyrus, The Goo Goo Dolls) and Platinum Award Winning Mixer & Producer Rudy Haeusermann. Casey wrote and played guitar on all three songs. Grammy Nominated Guitarist Bryan Austin, who also sings backing vocals with Deborah Gibson, joined him on guitar.

Casey also has the distinction of being one of three finalists in the Country category of Session II for The John Lennon Songwriting Contest (JLSC). The song nominated, “Losing You,” is available on his EP. Session II winners will be announced March 1, 2010.

He also just won the KNIX Colgate Country Showdown contest which entitles him to enter into the State Competition in October 2009. The winner receives $1000 and a chance to advance to the Regional Finals and then on to the National Finals where he could win $100,000.

• Casey and his manager were perfect to work with. They were willing to meet us prior to the performance to look over the venue. That helped us to understand what we had and might possibly need to accomodate the performance (equipment, location on site, etc). Casey arrived early on the day of the performance to setup and go over the details one more time. We made some last minute changes/requests and he accomodated us with a smile!
