DESCRIPTION:
I sing and play primarily rock and pop music solo on acoustic guitar with a unique percussive technique that provides a rhythmic drumming back beat to many of my arrangements. Alternatively I also play with more conventional strumming or finger picking for songs where that is more appropriate or a combination of the methods. My sound and style is distinctive but also quite versatile in that I can adapt to a wide range of performance environments ranging from just above speaking volume for low-key events to moderate volume higher energy dance oriented settings.

My repertoire is eclectic ranging from the Beatles to Bach with 90% of my music being vocal oriented. My musical approach is to provide my own interpretations of songs rather than play the songs exactly as they have been recorded by the original artist. To create a fuller sound I also sing many of my songs using a digital vocal harmonizer which gives the sound of 2 or 3 backing singers to many of my arrangements. The combination of my percussive guitar technique and the vocal harmonizer allows me to create a sound as a solo artist that approaches that of a full band.

For performance I use an acoustic guitar, a small portable PA system and some audio accessories which sit on the floor making my set up easy to place almost anywhere. All that I require is an electric outlet or alternatively if the event has a PA I can easily plug into any existing system. I do prefer to play indoors but I would be happy to accommodate outdoor events if the weather is good. Upon arriving at the engagement I can be set up and start usually within a few minutes.

I have been playing guitar for approximately 20 years and have made over 80 live performances in the past year. As I am new to gigmasters I am eager to establish a good working relationship with the community here and build a positive feedback history from clients.
