THE BEST FOR YOUR GUESTS!! You insist on the best for your guests. The finest cusine. The smoothest beverages. The friendliest atmosphere. Why settle for anything less than the perfect music to pull it all together? Let Billy Schaub share a touch of Acoustic Guitar that puts your guests in just the right mood, and keeps the party going as long as you want it to. A working musician for more than twenty years, Billy Schaub began guitar studies at the age of eleven. After garnering first place honors in more than 50 living room shows, Billy studied music theory and composition at Diablo Valley College. At D.V.C. Billy was tutored by the late guitar legend Stubby Thomson and former Dirt Merchant sideman Greg Dale. Ask The Experts! Listen to what the music industry's top artists have said about Billy Schaub! " Fine technique. Great interpretive skill. Very versatile musician."- James E. White, recording artist and two time nominee. "Well done! A stunning performance." - Shaun Mooney, winning musical director for "Men in Tights" and "The Judy Garland Story". Just outside the San Francisco Bay Area, Billy grew up playing clubs in the city before he was fifteen. Borrowing dad's "Big Yellow" station wagon and loading it up for the night, every weekend was a gig. Still in high school, Billy and "The Field Mice" captured a young hearted audience while playing shoulder to shoulder with The Ramones, Chris Isaak and Drama Rama to name a few of their 80's headliners. "We opened for a lot of names...before the earthquake!" Suddenly, these kids found themselves recording their hits "Coconut Bikini" and "Happy with You" at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, studio B.. where Jefferson Starship and John Forgerty's cigarettes still smouldered in the ashtray. Before leaving for Los Angeles Billy had established a strong musical presence with his punk band "Blind Acceptance" and "The Field Mice". In between touring and opening for Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Billy wrote and performed music for television commercials and independent films. "I've written and performed pop, punk, country, rap, jazz, and every style under the sun." Many bands came-a-calling for him to play bass and sing, while Billy was quietly recording song after song in his own studio. "I did it all, the Sunset Strip, a regular at Universal Bar and Grill, The Fox And Hounds and even Ernies Taco House. On weekends he was jamming with Devo drummer Alan Myers and Alanis Morissette's Matt Laug, all the while developing his own sound of America. "People say my music brings them home... and this is a big country." Billy just finished recording his new album "Between Saints and Cigarettes" with Grammy Award winning producer Marc DeSisto. "it's humbling to walk in the footsteps of Don Henley and Melissa Esthridge. Billy is currently in the studio working on his New Record, but if ya get the chance Take It!! and see him play LIVE!

Birthday Party (Kids)•Reviewed on October 11, 2008•From Hermosa Beach, CA

Billy was great! He entertained both kids and adults at our party. He knew when to step in and "entertain" and when to sit back and play quietly. We would definitely use him again. He is very talented.

Birthday Party (Adult)•Reviewed on July 26, 2008•From San Clemente, CA

I booked Billy for a 30th Surprise Birthday Party and he was the perfect choice. The Birthday boy was running a bit late but instead of boredom setting in they all raved about how he kept people going and up beat while they waited. His timing was right on queue with a funky Happy Birthday song when the guest of honor did arrive. I couldn't have been more please with his charisma and sense of humor, all of my friends loved him. Plus he has a very diverse list of songs and originality that cannot be beat! There was NEVER a dull moment! I highly recommend him based on his talent, professionalism and originality.

Corporate Function•Reviewed on July 19, 2008•From Santa Barbara, CA

Billy was the perfect fit for the last event of our three day corporate weekend! He was extremely professional, social and talented! If we ever have another event like this, Billy would for sure be welcomed back to serenade us! He kept the party rockin' and having someone who was so flexible and likable was great! It was nice that he allowed others to join in on the singing and was open to requests, lots and lots of requests! Thanks for a great performance Billy!
