I'm a master player of the Appalachian dulcimer, having won the Southern Regional Dulcimer Competition in 1987 in Mountain View , Ar.I also play Clawhammer banjo and guitar. I do vocals and am an accomplished storyteller . My stories are for any audience and I specialize in Southern humor. I interweave my stories with my music or I can do either separately or the music as background. I play country blues as well featuring guitar, dobro ,harmonica and vocals. I can do a mix of Appalachian tunes and blues or one genre or the other. I have performed nationally at festivals, weddings,church groups, corporate events , and private parties since 1981. I perform with my wife as a folk duo with her providing vocals . I have a Celtic act I do with my brother featuring guitar, whistle, dulcimer, bodhran, octave mandolin , banjo and vocals. All my performances can include singalongs and audience participation depending on the event.
