Karen Olson, viola with keyboard presents special music for your special occasion. You and your guests will enjoy a unique blend of light classics, American Songbook, jazz and all-time favorites with a blend of styles including a touch of New Age. The mix of music will include many favorites such the Pachelbel Canon, Over the Rainbow, Misty and many more. Karen is an internationally recognized violist, recording artist and composer. She combines her unique background as a musician, Reiki master, and intuitive holistic healer, by providing interactive, fun and inspiring concerts and programs. Karen's music has been called "jazzical": classically oriented jazz fusion that has New Age and World Music influences. She holds a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree from The Juilliard School, a Master's Degree from Yale University and a Ph.D. from New York University and she is a certified practitioner and teacher in several healing modalities including Theta Healing. Karen performs for audiences all over the world, is a member of the New York Pops, her CD Timeless Being ranked #1 on multiple charts, Karen edited a top-selling viola scale book for ECSchirmer and she has and has performed with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis Jr. and Liza Minnelli.
