Guitarist/Composer/Singer/Songwriter Dr. B.G. McPike offers world class acoustic music for various occasions: Concerts, Banquets, Weddings, Receptions, and Parties of all sorts. Whether it’s the renowned Duo of B.G. McPike and Solly Burton (a 3x Winfield National Mandolin Champion), or B.G. McPike and The Haute Club (trio, quartet, or quintet) of a fusion of Americana and French “Hot Club” Cafe Jazz and Western World Music (Haute Club rhymes with Boat Club!), B.G. and friends will BRING THE BEST! At age 21 McPike was selected as one of six guitarists among applicants from all across the Eastern half of the USA by the Busch Gardens traveling audition troupe. After returning to Indiana McPike earned both a Master and a Doctor of Music from Indiana University’s School of Music in Bloomington. And since that time he’s played for approximately 200 weddings and a long list of music festivals across the eastern USA - including The Blue Lake Jazz Festival, Lotus World Music Festival, Pawley’s Island (SC) Pizazz Festival, University of Louisiana-Monroe Guitar Festival, Blues at The Crossroads Festival (Terre Haute, IN), etc. And has been a “first call” solo and ensemble guitarist by several Central Indiana booking agencies.
