The Solace Trio is Joey Mintz, Josh Downer, and Tim Kim, who have been playing music their whole lives. Tim Kim is a classically trained violinist with 15+ years of experience as a soloist, co-concert master of orchestra, and first violinist in multiple quartets. Joey Mintz is a multi-instrumental musician with chops on the guitar, bass, melodica, percussion, and many other instruments. Josh Downer is a guitarist, masterful musical theorist, and arranger. Together, they can weave a wonderful 3 part vocal harmony. The three came together many years ago and have fine tuned their sound that is unique and has given smiles, chills, and tears to audiences across the Bay Area.

Solace Trio plays music from a variety of styles, including classical, pop, reggae, gypsy, indie rock and their own sweet tunes. They also write custom arrangements of your all your favorites for events ranging from your house party to your wedding.

• These guys are extremely nice, very very talented and super easy to work with. We fell in love with them the moment we met them. They listened to everything my wife asked for an accommodated all our customer requests. The day of the event they were our one vendor that did not raise concerns about the weather (outdoor wedding in the rain!) and instead brought their own tent, in fact, the other vendor used their tent to film. • We booked Soalce Trio for our outdoor wedding at Golden Gate Park's Tulip Garden. We chose them based on their ability to take our favorite types of music--classic, indie, beach rock songs--and convert them into string music. The band met with me once and took my song list. They provided me feedback on which songs they could do which was roughly 2/3's of my overall selections. Dealing with the band leading up to the wedding was easy--they are professional. During the wedding, they were outstanding. Many guests asked me where I found this awesome Trio and commented that they were great.
