Goals

  • Write highly effective content across various platforms (website, emails, newsletters, press releases, blogs, etc.)
  • Develop GigMasters' brand voice to reflect our "life of the party" mantra
  • Create keyword-rich content to support our SEO efforts
  • Support all the communication needs of our Sales and Customer Experience Departments

What you'll do

  • Create written communications that unify all internal and external messaging with regard to new product launches, feature-enhancements, and new services offered by GigMasters.
  • Work on specific projects that help support the company's conversion goals for membership sign-ups and renewals, as well as event requests and bookings.
  • Work closely with members of the Marketing team to support the department's writing and editing needs.
  • Work proactively to support our Sales, Customer Experience and Tech Teams on projects that have communication components.
  • Collaborate with members of the Marketing team to ensure that all front-facing site content is optimized for search engines.
  • Continue to develop a voice that is reflective of our "life of the party" brand - positive, provocative, fun yet clear and concise.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve communications.
  • Participate in the company's social marketing efforts to engage and build our communities.

What you bring to the table

  • Must possess 3+ years of experience in a copywriter or communications position.
  • Must have a portfolio of writing samples, preferably with a variety of formats and audiences.
  • Experience with Wordpress -- and/or other Content Management Systems.
  • Demonstrated track record of using communications to achieve specific goals.
  • Knowledge and understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface across multiple departments.
  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Communications/Marketing or a related field.

What you bring to the table

  • A positive attitude and a strong desire to help customers
  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing and/or event planning role

Goals

  • Drive incremental website and mobile traffic, employing search marketing best practices
  • Employ organic content strategies and paid advertising to:
    • Increase prospective member traffic, focusing on relationship building and sign-up conversions
    • Increase client traffic, with a focus on event request conversion
  • Help direct the company's website content strategy as it expands into new event services categories

What you'll do

  • Develop and implement an SEM plan that includes both paid and organic strategies
  • Manage ad campaign budget with the goal of optimizing text ads, display ads and keywords for maximum ROI
  • Identify new ad opportunities, including creative, keyword and media placement
  • Initiate multivariate testing to optimize search traffic and sales conversions
  • Manage organic strategy, identifying pages and keywords that will drive significant incremental traffic

  • Code pixel perfect HTML & CSS from Photoshop comps with extreme attention to detail
  • Make modifications and updates to existing Photoshop assets
