I have 4 different presentations with different musical specialties:
The Porchdogs (duo, trio, quartet, quintet), specializing since 1992 in Louisiana Cajun and zydeco and variety; Mountain Brew (duo, trio, quartet, quintet) specializes in folk, bluegrass, Irish/Celtic, popular standards, and country; The Shades (4-5 pieces) specializing since 1986 in 1980s new-wave music plus reggae and ska; I also perform as a soloist (guitar, harmonica, vocals, with backing tracks) with a variety of styles including folk, popular rock and country standards, Irish standards, and island/reggae. We've performed: daily at the Florida State Fair (Tampa) 5 of the past 8 years; daily at the Iron Horse Saloon in Ormond Beach, FL during Bike Week and Biketoberfest for over 12 years; plus repeat performances or long-term engagements at Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Orlando, Cypress Gardens and Silver Springs, and at many nightclubs, fairs, festivals, community events, and private parties. • The Porch Dogs were fantastic! They set the mood for our event and kept our guests entertained throughout the night without being a distraction (it was a judicial reception with lots of socializing, so the band was not the focus of the event - the judges were).
