Monvelyno the male lead is a tag less phenomenon hard to frame in one capsule and is considered a renaissance being to this age. With his music and art he has been inspiring, entertaining.
When he picked up the guitar at the age of 18 his intent was the creation of a universal, cultural language so, his approach to the instrument was revolutionary. Monvelyno has always been singing in Creole and French, but now he is reaching out to a wider audience, through English lyrics with the fresh, new sound cultivated from deeper roots. The result is a combination of mainstream music with the soul of his indigenous ancestry.

When Riva moved back to New York, to attend LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, she majored in Vocal performance. At the age of 18, In New Orleans, she attended Loyola University where she graduated with a Music Therapy.
Out of the same ideals and dreams to uplift and support Haitian Roots / Racine, the perfect alignment was created when Monvelyno and Riva met through music, and together seamlessly they created what is known today as:
“BOHIO MUSIC” (borrowed from “Ayiti, Quisqueya ou Bohio” in honor of their beloved land “Haiti” named by their ancestors the Tainos to mean Mountainous Lands) is a seamless fusion of Roots World Music, Jazz and African tones with very subtle hints of Reggae.
