Paradise Road Productions presents two internationally recognized music and dance ensembles: *** Maya Soleil = Afro-World Jazz, Traditional African and Fusion *** Global Heat = Jazz and Spoken Word Connecting the World This Gigmasters web site is for Maya Soleil. Global Heat has a separate web site which we can tell you about if you contact us about Global Heat through Maya Soleil on Gigmasters. Maya Soleil presents a dynamic show with colorful costumes, dance, and unusual musical instruments to complement their multi-cultural music - from traditional African to Brazilian to contemporary funky dance beats. Acoustic (traditional) or Electric (world fusion) bands available. Mainstream or smooth jazz group (Jass Soleil) also availble upon request or in combination with Afro-Fusion show. The Afro-Fusion band includes: · Hot rhythms, fat harmonies, and ethnic percussion make you move.
· Blend of African vocals, keyboards, saxophones, flutes, marimba, guitar, bass, ethnic drums, and world drum set creates a truly original sound.
· African dance performance with audience 'line dance'.
· Wide demographic appeal. Maya Soleil's CD Dance of the New Sun was among the top nominees for a Seattle Area Music Innovation and Excellence Award. About Maya Soleil, "HotBands" says 'unique audio-visual experience' and 'this is a band that should be seen live'... The international magazine Modern Drummer says: 'very capable company of Seattle-based musicians' and 'energetic Afro-fusion band'. Maya Soleil is 4-9 multi-instumentals, including the featured African artists Lora (Sukutai) Chiorah-Dye from Zimbabwe and Karim Koumbassa from Guinea. Extra vocalists, a guitarist, or a second dancer can be added for up to a nine piece group. Fee, show content, and number of members can be tailored to client's wishes.
