With a strong foundation in classical violin, as well as being a versatile vocalist of swinging jazz standards and bossa nova, Rebecca Zapen Strings & Jazz can provide you with a string soloist or ensemble for a wedding ceremony or special occasion, as well as jazz ensembles suitable for wedding receptions and special events. Her jazz ensemble boasts players whose performances have included Jacksonville Jazz Festival and Clearwater Jazz Holiday, as well as numerous resorts and venues such as Don CeSar and Ritz-Carlton. String configurations range from solo violin to string trio (2 violins and cello), with the additional option of classical guitar or harp. Jazz ensemble instrumentation ranges from duo of vocals/violin and guitar, to a standard jazz quartet of vocals/violin, guitar, upright bass, and drums, with additional options such as keyboard/piano, saxophone, trumpet. We perform throughout Florida, with emphasis on the Tampa Bay area and Jacksonville.
