Brittany Cotto is a Grammy-nominated violinist/violist who performs many styles of music all over North America, Europe, and The Middle East. She has recorded and performed with a wide range of artists including the likes of Bobby McFerrin, Burt Bacharach, Diddy Dirty Money, Doc Severensin, Idina Menzel, John Williams, Joshua Bell, Julie Andrews, LeAnn Rhimes, Nicki Minaj, PJ Morton (Maroon 5), Quincy Jones, Snoop Dogg, Tony Bennet, Yoshiki, and Yo-Yo Ma. Performance highlights also include fashion shows for Christian Audigier and Bebe, and events for The Hollywood Foreign Press Association and Playboy Enterprises, Inc. Her television credits include: “90210”, “American Dad”, “American Idol”, “BET Awards”,“Glee”, and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”.
Originally from Chicago, Brittany began her music education with the violin at two years old. She quickly excelled in her studies and by high school was a member of Civic Orchestra of Chicago and had performed on NPR's “From the Top”. Brittany spent her summers studying and performing classical and jazz in France, Aspen, and Los Angeles' Henry Mancini Institute. She holds a bachelors degree from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
With her extensive musical training and her passion for music of all genres, Brittany moved to Los Angeles after college and took her musical talents to the next level.
Brittany is available to play acoustic and electric violin/viola for special events, live concerts, recording sessions, and string arrangements. She can perform with a band/DJ, or even provide the background music for an exciting electrified performance.
