Amy Jones Jazz Duo from Van Nuys, CA

Hello! Thanks for being here. My name is Amy Jones, and I am a passionate, versatile singer with an amazing band! We all have years of professional experience, and we play a wide variety of genres, including some original songs that are a style all our own. Our sound is soulful yet intimate, dabbling in hints of jazz, blues, folk, and even a little country. I have spent the last six years writing, arranging, and performing with guitarist Tony Pretzello, and the last four years playing with bass player John Grant. Piano player Misha Bigos and I met while playing together on a cruise ship three years ago. Together, we have harvested and continue to harness a sound that is unique, yet classical. We can be hired as a duo, trio, or a full band (with drums too) depending on your needs and the sound you are after. My performing experience goes back to childhood, but as an adult, I've shared the stage with bands ranging in style from blues to bluegrass. In 2011, I produced and released my own EP, and I have five years experience singing back-up for Grammy-nominated R&B sensation Nikkole, with whom I toured across the country in 2008. We opened for Boyz II Men, Macy Gray, Jon B, Bobby Brown, Ambrosia, Blood Sweat and Tears, and The Temptations among others.  Along with decades of performing, composing, and arranging experience, Tony was executive producer and creater of Hollywood Trax, a half hour music magazine that was placed in syndication. Tina Turner, Jon Bon Jovi, David Bowie were featured on the show. Also, he hosted and produced a radio show on KRLA-AM here in Los Angeles called "Cued-Up."
