Description

Dazzling, fun, specialty wedding/event band excels in: classic rock, new rock, 80s, Motown, swing, ballads, modern country, and jazz! Classically-trained members also perform ceremony music at weddings for far less than a separate ceremony group can! Your one-stop shop for greater savings, less hassle. We feature fantastic male and female lead singers, and several virtuoso multi-instrumentalists (9 total instruments on stage). Although we're a five-piece band, it's like having nine pieces for the price of five! As a result, we can cover more music styles and songs than typical bands our size. We are trained announcers, and MC's, per your direction. A state of the art sound and light system round out the amazing experience that is Raising Cain.

With our group, you get full-time, professional musicians who dedicate every hour of the week to planning, rehearsing, and preparing to make your event a smashing success. Unlike some bands, we don't put in a full work week at something else and then turn our attention to music and your event in our spare time. This is all we do, and the excellence with which we do it reflects that. Our stunningly comprehensive song lists cover all the popular genres, from rock to pop to jazz to Jewish and ethnic tunes to classical to well, you name it! It is very rare for a five-piece rock/dance band to have members with college-level classical performance training, who can superbly play beautiful classical music for your ceremony on violin, classical guitar, and/or piano, on up to a full string quartet. We do this for 60% off of our normal "ceremony only" rates (if we're already playing your reception). Clients always tell us how much they prefer having just one music contract for everything, not having to worry about multiple bands, and not having to pay minimum trip charges to multiple entities. With us, it's simpler, it's better, and you get way more - for less overall cost!

As total wedding and event pros who have played hundreds of fantastic weddings and events, we, as your band, are also available to provide complimentary assistance to help you plan things and wade through the ocean of details. We provide thoughts, ideas, perspective, and considerations on song selections, timing, flow, order, and any number of things related to extraordinary weddings and events (at no charge, of course). Over and over we have seen what works and what doesn't, year in, year out, regardless of the event or location. We know dozens of little-known strategies that will make a FANTASTIC wedding or event for you!

Feedback

  • Raising Cain was absolutely amazing! They learned a song for our first dance and did a fabulous job. The music was all great and everyone had a blast dancing all night long. I would reccomend Raising Cain to anyone planning an event. They were absolutely perfect and made our wedding a wonderful day we and all our guests will never forget! -Brice and Mary Asher Johnson -- Nada G, Colorado Springs, CO, 8/1/2009
  • Raising Cain did an excellent job at our wedding this summer. Before the event, they were responsive and professional in all their interactions with us. At the event, they really rocked and were completely self-sufficient. The crowd loved them - many people commented afterward about what a great job they did. -- Joel W, Boulder, CO, 8/29/2009
  • Raising Cain was fabulous! They were exactly what we wanted for our wedding reception. They are fun, energetic and played the full range of danceable tunes as well as perfect dinner music before the party began. We love live music, and listened to a ton of Denver and C. Springs bands before making our selection, and Raising Cain had by far the best vocals and musicians we found. Our wedding guests' ages ranged from late 20's to mid 70's and Raising Cain played something for everyone -- they even personalized the prerecorded tunes they played in between their sets per our request. We got tons of compliments from our guests about how wonderful the band was, and we recommend them highly!! Huge thanks to Anya and the whole band – they were wonderful to work with and extremely professional. We'd use them again in a heartbeat! -- Christa M, Colorado Springs, CO, 7/21/2007
  • We hired Raising Cain to play at our wedding reception and they helped to make it a lot of fun. Raising Cain played so many different genres/styles of music that it appealed to all of our guests and both younger and older people really enjoyed it. I didn't feel as organized as I would have like to have been but Anya really took care of us. She emceed and helped keep things moving. They had a vast repertoire and also played a list of songs we requested. They were even able to learn a song with barely a week left before the wedding day! It was a Billy Joel song with just the acoustic guitar and Anya's voice and it was really amazing. Great band. Two thumbs up! -- Cassie B, Castle Rock, CO, 10/19/2007
  • Raising Cain managed to learn the few songs we had requested -namely our bridal dance song and their performance was so spot on and sung with so much energy and enthusiasm. They really know how to entertain and get a room full of people up dancing! They were open to any and all of our suggestions throughout our correspondence. For the record -Raising Cain ROCKS!! -Happily married couple from 08/08/08 -- Jacqui J, Lyons, CO, 8/8/2008
  • Hired Raised Cain for the holiday party for my company and everyone thought they were absolutely fabulous. They played something for everyone. Would definitely hire them again. -- Carol N, Denver, CO, 12/13/2008
  • I would highly reccomend Raising Cane. They went above and beyond. They even learned a new song for me in less than a week. The guests all talked about how great they were. From young to old we were all out on the dance floor. They had good variety and fullfilled every and all of my wants and needs. Nice people too! -- Betsy W, Lyons, CO, 5/30/2008
  • The band did a fantastic job - we were really thrilled with both the logistical aspect of their setup/takedown and the actual music. Lots of fun, many compliments from guests at our wedding, absolutely will recommend them to others. Thank you! -- Chris S, Loveland, CO, 5/24/2008
  • Raising Cain did an amazing job playing our private party. We really wanted a band that could play cover songs and interact with the crowd. These guys were GREAT! Each of these musicians are so talented! They were very professional and a real pleasure to have play at our party. I whole heartedly recommend Raising Cain to others looking to book a band that will make you happy you spent the money on live entertainment. -- Jaime B, Brighton, CO, 6/30/2007
  • The band was easy to get in touch with and had great communication. I loved their song list and was happy that they were able to learn a couple of songs especially for us. And they even took requests the night of. Unfortunately, we had booked the band from 7 to 11 and the ceremony and speeches ran long and the band was not able to start at 7 and where therefore not able to play for 4 hours. My advice to potential clients is to book them for a bit later than you plan on having them start, as things always run long. -- Brooke M, Cherry Hills Village, CO, 7/19/2008
