Description

I have been performing as a vocalist/keyboardist since 1995. I've done everything from Wedding Ceremony music to Corporate Jazz Performance. My vocal style is versatile doing everything from Michael Buble, Sam Cooke and Van Morrison to Pink Floyd, The Beatles and Elton John. People liken my vocal sound and style to James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Elton John, Chris Martin of Coldplay, and David Gilmour.

I also enjoy working as a background vocalist for live shows with other artists and in the studio. I like singing with other vocalists and manipulating my voice to match their sound and style to blend perfectly.

As a keyboardist I am also versatile playing lead keys on piano, Rhodes, Moog Lead Synth, Wurlitzer or B3 Organ. I also enjoy doing background keys such as soft pad synth and string patches that sound natural and subtle to the lead instruments and vocals.

Feedback

  • Stephen was awesome! He was very easy to communicate with and always returned any questions or concerns in a timely fashion. All of my guests at the wedding said how talented and woderful he was. I would recommend him anytime. -- Ryann J, Columbia, SC, 9/5/2010
  • Stephen was a great success and really delivered a home run for our party. We had a broad range of ages in attendance and his song selection hit the mark and generated a high level of energy and singing and dancing. Stephen is a very accomplished pianist and singer, a great talent and very attune to his audience. In advance, he was very responsive and we exchanged information by e-mail and he took all of my requests to heart and was ready for our group. He arrived on time, got to work quickly, and only took one break all evening, I think because he was genuinely enjoying the group. My guests left happy and praising Stephen for his great entertainment! -- Ron J, Atlanta, GA, 2/27/2010
  • Thanks again to Stephen & Daniel - what they provided was perfect for our "lounge" type of atmosphere. I hope to be able to bring them back to another event! -- Melissa K, Asheville, NC, 9/30/2010
  • Stephen was back by popular demand for a second year with our group. He is such a pleasure to work with. He is so professional, responsive and easy to work with. We had several guests call in with reservations and ask to be seated "near the music". In addition to a great selection of music, he took requests tirelessly all evening. I am thrilled to work with him and hope to have him back. He made our evening. His talent is fantastic on it's own, but his personality and professionalism make him truly a super star! -- Joanne S, Cartersville, GA, 12/2/2011
  • What a voice! We hired Stephen Lee to play during our wedding reception dinner and would recommend him 100% to anyone who is looking for an amazingly talented piano player/vocalist. He played all of our favorite songs and had such a great, smooth voice. Stephen is extremely professional, easy to work with, and so accommodating. We had such a great time tapping our feet to his songs throughout dinner, and we knew every word! I can't say enough about him, and wish we had had a longer dinner service so that he could have played longer. Many thanks to you, Stephen! We truly enjoyed having you as part of our "big day"! -- Cynthia L, Asheville, NC, 5/26/2012
