"I am a drummer and have played in a band in one form or another for the past 10 years. I have a musical ear and absolutely cannot stand it when a bad band plays! I was damn sure not going to have one at either of those events, especially the rehearsal dinner since it's the groom's responsibility.
Plain and simple, Johnnylove and the band were above and beyond our expectations. And we had high expectations! As an entertainer who keeps the party going from start to finish, This band is the best I've seen for reception-style bands. We could not have been happier with choosing them for our rehearsal dinner. For the dinner they provided smooth jazz and then after dinner they kicked it to party mode and we had an absolute blast. I mean this in all sincerity, they made the night!! They were very tight. The band was fabulous as well. We had the 6-piece band with Johnnylove, a bassist, drummer, sax, piano, and electric guitar. The drummer was fantastic.
Style of music during reception: plenty of popular songs that anyone with a radio over the past 10 years would recognize, great funk/dance classics, and hip-hop. Basically, just get with Johnnylove a couple of months before the event and tell him any requests or genres and they'll take care of it. It really was a blast!!!
