DESCRIPTION:
Whether it's his piano playing, acting or dancing, Bob Mihovilovich is one talented individual. Bob began his studies as a classical pianist at the early age of 9. A few years later, he took up the accordion, trumpet, drums and international folk dancing. At age 17, he began his 15 year run as bandmember in the Los Angeles Orchestra "Jadran". He still continued to study classical piano and eventually received a scholarship to attend California State University Long Beach, where he obtained a degree in music. During his time at CSULB, he proudly studied with the late, highly respected Dr. Bernardo Segal. After graduating, Bob began teaching piano and accordion to his own group of students. After moving to New Mexico in 1997, Bob joined another band based out of Santa Fe, "Xsko", as an accordionist and vocalist. In recent years, Bob has ventured further into the "biz" by studying the basics of acting. By combining the two, he has begun his run as a Liberace Tribute Artist, winning the 2005 Liberace play-a-like piano competition at the Liberace Museum Showroom, also debuting in 2005 at the 1st annual "Show Of Shows" in Las Vegas. With warm reviews by critics Linda Collins and Megan Edwards, Bob knew he had arrived. He hopes to expand his audience worldwide in a spectacular impersonation of the original king of bling...Liberace.
Bob is also an active member of both the Entertainment Network as well as the American Federation of Musicians.
More recently, Bob was featured in an upcoming Kevin Costner film entitled "Swing Vote", due out in 2008.
