If you are looking for pleasant and uplifting music for your cocktail hour, dinner, fundraiser or other such occasion, then consider The Saxmen.
Our speciality is songs from the 30's thru 50's.
The Saxmen consists of just two saxes, but when combined with a digitally produced rhythm section, our finished sound is that of a five piece combo.
Our libary consists of more than 200 of these classics. Many were made composed by Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Hoagy Carmichael and recorded by Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald. We have even added a number of the songs by the Beattles.
We also have more than 30 Christmas/Holiday songs.
The era of our music is also perfect for a parent's or grandparent's anniversary, birthday parties or a wedding reception where "Live" is preferred.
For those occasions where additional entertainment is preferred, we will be happy to include our one or two of our friends - Avon or Mary Rose and Jimmy. All are terrific terrific vocalists and great emcees.
The Saxmen's Bose Sound System permits for total control of our volume. The delivered sound allows for easy conversation among the guests even if they are located directly in front of our combo.
After listening to a few of our song clips, we think you will agree that there is no other combo quite like The Saxmen.
On a personal note, Leo and Vince first began performing together while in a dance band, The Classmen, during their high school days in the late 50's. The band was together for eight years, then apart for 37. Back together since 1999, it is obvious to all that they are enjoying their reunion.
A wide variety of references - beyond those shown on this website - are available upon request.
Since almost all of our engagements are for private functions, we do not normally keep the list of upcoming appearances current on this webpage.
In these days of financial challenges, the Saxmen is an option worth considering. "Quality Live Music" at an affordable price.
The Saxmen will be happy to pay the 5% gigmaster commission fee.
