But as the name suggests, we can "design" the right size group for your event/budget: Jazz Trio (Piano, Bass, Drums) Jazz Quartet - A (Piano, Bass, Drums, & Sax) Jazz Quartet - B (Piano, Bass, Drums, & Vocalist) Jazz Quintet (Piano, Bass, Drums, Vocalist, Sax) We are certified by "Here Comes The Guide" as part of Silicon Valley Music. This meant we passed a rigorous certification process requiring 30-40 references, including wedding industry professionals and at least 10 recent brides. They contacted each reference and got their honest feedback. Only if the company gets a rave review do they accept them as a client. Looking for something more? We also can expand Jazz By Design to our party band configuration - called Silicon Vibe. The larger ensemble provides a high energy show with a bigband style horn section. Jazz By Design performs everything from standards & ballads to contemporary Jazz/Latin. We can be ambient (as often requested for cocktails during weddings or corporate events). We can also be hip and showy (as if playing at one of the Jazz Festivals). Our set list of music is constantly evolving, adding tunes and creating custom performances as needed.
