The answer is clear: the band is a premier ambassador of jazz, showcasing both the classic big band stylings of the jazz golden age, but also the funk & dance music of today. Motown NEVER had it so good when you have players like THE RETRO JAZZ KATS bringing out the music...and Gwen Hughes' vocals laying on the soul.
