Our big band is more than the typical big band that emulates Count Basie, Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Frank Sinatra, Stan Kenton, and other 30's and 40's artists, this big band also performs the latest in big band jazz and swing ensemble charts by currently popular arrangers! Our vocalists are the finest in the Bay Area. Liz Lake, with her strong, yet smoothe style, is a top performer with a professional background, performing in Tahoe, Reno, Canada, and New York with many name bands. Christine Ferrari has a smooth yet gutsy delivery in her vocal style and has been compared to the likes of Diana Krall. Since the mid-eighties, Christine has performed at Palmdale Estates, The Green Hills Country Club, The Villa Hotel, Il Fornaio, Mariani's and the Garden Court Hotel. Christine Ferrari's Swing Society has more recently performed at the Westin Hotel, The Double Tree Inn, The Crown Plaza Hotel, Ralston Mansion in Belmont, Hiller Aviation Museum, Monterey Plaza Hotel, Allied Arts Guild, The Tied House, Rickey's Hyatt, and many more locations. Our musicians are the best in the San Francisco Bay Area and have performed with many name bands; many have toured overseas with popular jazz and swing bands. We were presented at the San Jose Jazz Festival on 8/13/05 and drew the largest crowd for big bands!.
