Burgie Crandall's Let's Dance Band, Burgie Crandall Orchestra and New Horizons Jazz Lab Band (combo) are based in the Phoenix Metro Area.

Burgie's Bands consist of stylistic, special arrangements, including top hits of the last 70 years, standards from 40's,50's, 60's, swing, upswing, Latin, ballroom favorites, jazz, blues and variety tunes. They have played for shows with guest stars, Chuck Kish in "Bobby Darin Show', Harry James' vocalist Cheryl Morris, stars from Las Vegas and around the USA, conventions, weddings, birthdays, pool parties, fairs, festivals (wine & jazz, etc.), cruise ships, theme parties, reunions and dance clubs. Some of their gigs include "Dancing with the Stars Arizona" at AZ Biltmore 2009, the Phoenician 2008, Westin Kierland 2007.
Other gigs include Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino in Maricopa, AZ, 7 months at Chinook Winds Casino, Hilton Hotel, Red Lion and Viking Serenade Cruise Ship, Scottsdale Resort & Conference Center, 16 weeks at Hornblowers Jazz Club, Mesa, AZ.,and many more.
Burgie was a woodwind instructor at US Naval School of Music, Washington, DC,and traveled as a professional musician during 40's & 50's, with bands such as; Henry Busse, Benny Strong, Teddy Phillips, Dick Jergens, Frankie Masters, Jimmy Joy and other name and semi-name big bands. He taught 34 years in the Pacific Northwest, high school, college, private lessons & jazz workshops. Premier Dance Magazine, August, 1999, calls Burgie's Let's Dance Band, 'Not just a big band, but a terrific dance band - probably the best dance band in the country.'

"Threw and 80th BDay party for my Mom. The hall was very small and there were concerns about the volume of the band. Burgie did a few sound checks and adjusted so the guests would not be 'blown out'. They also honored the special request made around song selection and specifically my Mother's favorite song. The Party was a huge success."

"This band was very talented, playing a variety of music and able to take requests. They arrived on time, set up and played through to the desired time. During the planning process, this band was available to me to answer questions and determine what my exact needs were. My guests were very happy with the music and enjoyed the variety and laid back feel of the band. I would hire this band again and again, and I would also refer them to anyone that I know. "Burgie Crandall and the Let's Dance Band were amazing! They coordinated beautifully with our DJ to provide a full night of music. They were on time to set-up and looked great in their tuxedos. We were very impressed with their wide range of music. The sound was incredible. We would recommend this band to anyone who loves Big Band music and I will use them in future events. "The band was on time (early, actually) and was quite pleased with the area we had set up for them to play in. They were very gracious and sounded great. One of our guests requested an obscure song and the band knew and played it without delay! Our guest was very impressed by this, indeed. They even let me and another guest use their equipment to sing a couple of songs. The band was definitely a great addition to the party and everyone loved the music (we even danced)."

"Burgie Crandall's Band was great. They are definitely more suited for an older population. I would have liked more variety in music; but it was probably my fault that they didn't vary their music. I had indicated that we wanted a variety of dance music, but did not provide them with a playlist. Overall I was satisfied."

"I enjoyed the band. It was so nice to have live music for my holiday party. I only gave a 3 on the accommodation because I didn't really have any special requests. The first two breaks would have been nice to have recorded music playing versus silence, but on the third break they put on some recorded music which was nice. They played wonderfully together. Would use them and recommend them to friends. I had a few friends ask for their information for future gigs. Thanks again. "
