Rick Baccare Singer from Philadelphia, PA

With his exquiste, swinging and smooth style, Rick Baccare has been entertaining audiences in the Philadelphia and New Jersey area for almost twenty years. Rick is one of the vocalist on today's musical scene dedicated to keeping alive the songs of one of the richest eras in music history, known as the "The Great American Songbook". Born in South Philadelphia to Italian American parents, this native Philadelphian's childhood home was filled with music from the 40's, 50's, and 60's, the songs of The Gershwins, Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart and Irving Berlin just to name a few, plus the rock 'n' roll and Doo Wop sounds of that era. Though in his late teenage years Rick played in a top 40 band called Champion, playing bass and singing lead vocals, it was his love and passion for the timeless music of his childhood that ultimately became his passion. The singers who influenced and helped shape his vocal style, are Bobby Darin, Bobby Rydell, Paul Anka, Sinatra and a young Elvis Presley. Other vocalists who he has admired through out his musical journey are, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis, Vic Damone, Jack Jones, Doris Day, Connie Francis, and Mario Lanza who he claims had the greatest God given voice of all time. In addition to performing in venues open to the public, Rick continues to bring his musical talents to many private events, solo or ensemble. The venue which he claims gave him the most experience at perfecting his art, is Frederick's Restaurant, which was located in the Queen Village section of Philadelphia, where he performed for fourteen years. Entertaining at Fredericks also gave him the opportunity to meet and sing with some of his favorite celebrities, such as Bobby Rydell, Frankie Avalon and James Darren.
