Description
The Crystal Swing Band plays the music of the 1930's & 1940's big band swing era featuring the music of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and other great big bands. The band can fluctuate in size from a 13-piece big band to a trio. The most popular groups are the big band (5 saxes, 3 trumpets, 2 trombones, piano, bass and drums) and the 6-piece combo (alto sax, tenor sax, trumpet, piano, bass and drums). A vocalist is available upon request. They are willing to work with you and your budget to provide the best group for your event, whether you need a trio for background music or a big band as the main attraction.
The Crystal Swing Band also plays different musical styles for your dancing pleasure including waltzes, foxtrots, tangos, rhumbas, cha chas, latins, polkas and Dixieland.
The band consists of the finest professional musicians from the Boulder-Denver area. For over 20 years, they have been pleasing audiences at concerts, weddings, dances, benefits, banquets and holiday parties. Notable performances include the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, Louisville Fourth of July, Boulder County Fair, The Mercury Cafe, Denver Jazz Club, summer concerts in the parks throughout the Front Range, and museum and library concert series.
Bandleader and drummer Kristin Anderson provides the highest degree of professionalism to make sure your event is a swingin' affair!
