MONROE BIG BAND = LIVE MUSIC! What do Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick, Jr., Michael Buble, the Brian Setzer orchestra,and Count Basie have in common? You can hear any or all of these when you make the Monroe Big Band a part of your special event. Male & Female vocalists travel with the band. Monroe Big Band, also known as River Raisin Jazz, has the variety in their repertoire for every occasion. --Want a danceable musical treat for your wedding reception? --How about a summer festival concert to draw a crowd? --Or music to make that special anniversary memorable? --Need a band for an elegant fund-raising event? MBB is a 16-piece jazz orchestra, plus vocalists, based in Monroe, MI, that performs in the Detroit-Ann Arbor-Toledo area. In addition to the sounds and style of big band music, MBB also sprinkles in some Latin, bossa, pop, and a little rock. FAQ's: Q. Does MBB ever work with a DJ? A. MBB often teams with a DJ and recorded music for variety. Q. We don't have room for a 16-pc band. Do you have a smaller option? A. The MBB Sextet plays the same style of music for smaller venues. Q. What time frame are your engagements? A. A minimum of 2 hours to a maximum of 4 hours with a 15 minute break each hour. Q. Is a contract necessary? A. A signed contract and 50% non-refundable deposit are required to book the band.
