St. Charles String Quartet played for my aug 31 2008 wedding. I booked them almost a year in advance after listening to their clips online and talking to Neil- he could not have been more responsive throughout my planning process. Everytime I emailed him questions or ideas he responded within hours. The day of they showed up and were totally self sufficient, which was great since I was busy getting ready. The music was great, (and as a former music major I'm picky!) they were totally professional, and their repertoire was extensive. They did traditional stuff for the ceremony that I picked, and for cocktail hour they did more modern stuff which everyone loved!

St. Charles String Quartet rocked. They have two repertoires to select from and we went with the Pop/Rock option - it was perfect. It would have been enough that they were on time and played well, but instead they managed to get all our wedding guests to sing along to Bohemian Rhapsody. Never have I ever seen people sing along with a string quartet. Hands down, we recommend them to any venue and hope to have a reason to hire them again. Thank you St. Charles!

I could not have been happier with St. Charles String Quartet. From the very fist moment they agreed to perform at our wedding, I was confident in their professional abilities as well as their willingness to comply with our hopes and wishes for our wedding music. We received so many compliments about the music after the ceremony. The musicians were even willing to drive several hours down the Eastern Shore of Maryland to play at our event and their music was definitely one of highlights of the event. The string quartet is fantastic. They really went above and beyond my expectations. Everything was extremely professional. I was very pleased with their ability to do such a great job accompanying the vocalists as they had only a few minutes of rehearsal time before the wedding. My daughter's ceremony was over a week ago, and people are still talking about the string quartet and how their presence added an element of class to the ceremony. They played beautifully, first of all, which is the most important thing. But what's just as important, they were flexible and easy to deal with about times and terms. They allowed me to attend a rehearsal to hear them early on, and also allowed me terrific range in selecting the program. They arrived early and played late, picking up the program cues exactly as planned. My fellow students and faculty at the War College were very impressed; I've heard spontaneous compliments about the Quartet for days. "They're a class act;" "best I've heard;" "the best thing about your ceremony was the beautiful music." And let's face it, nothing adds more class to a ceremony than the sounds of a live string quartet playing beautiful music; it puts the whole event into a higher bracket of taste and sensibility. I certainly plan to hire them again, although their current very affordable fee will doubtless go up as their fame grows in coming years.

there are not enough words to express how impressed everyone was with this quartet. If you are hiring a quartet, this is the one to hire. They played absolutely beautifully. They handled several special requests including an original piece. I truly am impressed beyond words. They are the most accomodating, most beautiful and professional musicians. If you are looking for perfection- this is it. I would recommend this quartet to anyone throwing a wedding, party, anything. I can be really demanding and have very very high standards. They are the best. hands down.
