Description
Sean Michael Mireau and the "Volcano Island Band" have been entertaining audiences in the southwest United States since the mid 1990s. They create a lively and festive atmosphere by performing live calypso/island/luau/reggae/steel drum music. They can play soft, ambient, instrumental, background music or higher energy party music with vocals. They have over 400 songs in their song list but some of their most requested songs include Margaritaville, Yellowbird, One Love, Red Red Wine, Brown Eye'd Girl, Kokomo, Stir it Up, Hot Hot Hot, Let it Snow, Jingle Bells, and Winter Wonderland. They have performed at events with attendance as small as ten people or as large as one thousand people. They have provided live musical entertainment for countless wedding receptions, birthday parties, New Year's Eve parties, anniversary parties, pool parties, cocktail parties, office parties, Christmas parties, grand openings, and large and small events of all kind. They have performed numerous times at every major resort in the Phoenix area including the Arizona Biltmore, The Camelback Inn, The Scottsdale Hilton, The Phoenician, the Pointe Hilton Resorts, the Ritz Carlton, the J.W. Marriot at Desert Ridge, The Wig Wam Resort, and the Hyatt Regency at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale as well as countless back yards all over Arizona. Sean Mireau and Volcano have also performed at events and venues such as the Glendale Glitters Holiday Spectacular, the Chandler Ostrich Festival, the Tempe Festival of the Arts, the Phoenix Zoo, the Desert Botanical Gardens, the Scottsdale Center for the Arts, University of Phoenix Stadium, and Veteran's Memorial Coliseum. Sean Mireau and the Volcano Island Band get most of their business by word of mouth. They get approximately 5% of their bookings through websites such as this one.
For smaller engagements, Sean can perform as a solo musician on steel drums. Or, for more energy and variety, there is the option of adding additional live instruments such as additional steel drums, guitar, congas, electric piano, marimba, vibraphone, or drum set by adding one or more members of Sean's band "Volcano". Volcano can perform with as few as two musicians or as many as ten musicians making them flexible enough to fit any size engagement or budget. If you are looking for a way to turn your event into a great event, Sean Mireau and the Volcano Island Band is the way to go!

- AMAZING!!!! We could not have asked for a better performance!! Everyone at out "backyard" reception loved the band and I cannot say enough about how wonderful they were. We had a Hawaiian themed reception and they even dressed the part! We (and many of our friends and family) hope we can have another event and invite them back! Can't say enough...FANTASTIC!!! -- David N, Laveen, AZ, 6/28/2008
- Sean was wonderful to work with. He was quick in responding to email. He came, set up, played and was as professional as one would expect. My husband is a musician and there were several musicians at our party, so Sean had many possible critics, but everyone loved him and his music. It was great! Thank you Sean. -- Pam T, Scottsdale, AZ, 5/2/2008

- Sean was very easy to work with and worked to meet several last minute requests. -- Dan B, Glendale, AZ, 6/25/2007
- I would highly recommend Sean Mireau again and again! His music was superior. I had other entertainment during the party and he was gracious enough to allow them to use his cd player and microphone as he watched their hula performance.
He worked with me and my interruptions as I had party guests "Roast" the birthday boy between his musical performance.
My guests asked for his cards and said they truly enjoyed his music. He was a one man band but you would have never guessed it was a single performer. -- Paula K, Glendale, AZ, 5/12/2007
- The performer, Sean Mireau, showed up with plenty of time to set up before scheduled start time. He was very easy to work with and very talented. The music was fantastic! It really gave my party a very unique feel and everyone really enjoyed it! I would definitely recommend Volcano Island band to anyone. -- Laura F, Tempe, AZ, 8/25/2007
- They were on time for the set up . The accomodated our request to s
"split" the band and have 3 players in the Entry Foyer . Their song selection was perfect and I have received many compliments from our members .
They also kept the volume at a low/medium level which was exactly right. I would select them again for a" theme " party. Our's was a Bon Voyage party !
I gave them 4 stars on how strongly I would recommend them . It doesn't seem to register !! -- Norman F K, Carefree, AZ, 1/29/2012
