Bryan Alford Jr. is a native of Kansas City, Missouri and has been performing for more than 17 years. Bryan has the ability to captivate and draw in an audience using his many talents to transform any event into a Caribbean island party atmosphere. His performances have been enjoyed in universities, festivals, hotels, hospitals, and convention centers across the United States. Bryan cut his teeth in the entertainment industry as steel drum entertainment for the Ritz Carlton Hotel of Kansas City, Mo.
While performing in various venues, Bryan also pursued his Music Business Degree at Missouri Western State University. It was there that his mentor Dr. Dennis Rogers noticed his talents and recommended he audition for the performing ensemble "Sticks of Thunder" where he quickly secured a spot in "Sticks of Thunder" cast. Bryan has performed in Las Vegas at MGM Grand Hotel, The Sands Hotel and the Flamingo Hotel.
After many years of performing and learning the industry Bryan has become a successful entrepreneur opening Alford Music and Entertainment, Alford School of Performing Arts and finally adding Motivational speaking to his resume. His latest project is a high-energy percussion stage show entitled " Invisidrum"
Bryan's life was changed after meeting the inventor of the steel drums Ellie Mannette of Trinidad and Tobago. Bryan's love for the instrument earned him the opportunity to study the steel drums at the 50th anniversary celebration of the steel drums in West Virgina. After returning home from the celebration he quickly became one of the authorities on the instrument and has been performing a variety of music from Soca and Calypso to reggae and jazz standards. He is currently performing as the resident steel drum soloist At the Great Wolf Lodge Resorts of Kansas City, Kansas and has been performing there for 10 years.
