While very adaptable to his audience, Lonnie likes to make it clear that his routes stem from his African American background. He grew up in the suburbs, so his black routes have always been in question. He was also very heavy set until his late teens. He lets you know about his weight loss and the battle that came with it in just about every routine! He attended Delaware State University before finishing up at Rutgers. College is where he really grew into himself. He began his stand up career at the stress factory in New Brunswick, New Jersey and now has been seen in NY clubs.
