We are "Night Shift"," a high-energy soul, rock and rhythm & blues band that specializes in soul and blues music from the 1950s, 60s and 70s! If you love the soulful sounds of Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, the Staple Singers, Bill Withers, Etta James, Sam & Dave and other great Motown, Memphis Stax, and other early soul artists, we are the band for you! We also cover Mississippi Delta and Chicago blues like Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Buddy Guy, T-Bone Walker and Elmore James. We add the bluesy tunes of Eric Clapton, Cream, the early Rolling Stones and many more artists. Our lead singer is a dynamic performer in the Aretha Franklin mold, with five octave range and a powerful delivery. She is backed by a four piece band of exceptional musicians who play in a mesmerizing, funky groove on uptempo tunes and with mellow soulfulness on ballads. We interact with the audience in a fun yet professional way. We have class, style and know how to generate excitement. We all have played live and in the studio innumerable times over the last thirty years, including at many top venues in the tri-state area, from the casinos in Atlantic City to nightclubs in center city Philly.
