Live performances by MoDaZz include a powerful array of songs by artists such as Spyro Gyra, Richard Elliot, John Klemmer, Kenny G, David Sanborn, Wes Montgomery, Eric Johnson, and many more great artists. MoDaZz has a way of re-arranging a song into a very loose format so as not to be limited by the song itself - but to give ample space for improvisation and fusion jams. The freedom to take musical detours into uncharted territory can make the music surprisingly unpredictable and extremely interesting as listeners try to anticipate what will happen next. MoDaZz lays down the funky smooth grooves that give people an irresistable urge to dance, while mixing in a touch of jazz/improv to keep it fresh. Fans have been known at times to forget what song is being played until the end of the song when the band returns to the melody. In some instances....maybe it's just a case of one to many beers!
"The chill spirit of fusion pioneers Spyro Gyra runs deep through this Denver collective; add that to the fact they cover Dave Brubeck and you've got one cooler-than-thou combo. The feather-light sax tangos ripple with Metheny-style space guitar and velvety smooth electric bass." Editor's review from c/net.
"You guys have it figured out... it's about groove and heart-felt playing. I love the direction you are going..." saxophonist Steve Mohacey
"Gorgeous rich multi layered sensual tones. Music to hit the rug with your s.o." MoDaZz fan - Tiaka
