About

Dave Nachmanoff is nothing if not versatile. Though he's probably best known as touring partner and lead guitarist for Al Stewart, he is a songwriter with 9 CDs of original songs, many of which have won honors in international competitions. Playing various instruments (mostly things with strings or keys) in many genres, Dave is very comfortable performing, whether it's an Irish Pub in small town in California (12 years of St. Patrick's Day gigs), an intimate acoustic house concert, or the Royal Albert Hall in London (where he appeared with Al Stewart in 2006).

With years of experience writing custom songs for all kinds of occasions, Dave can tailor his performance to your particular needs. Although he is a songwriter, Dave has a substantial repertoire of cover songs, mostly focused on the folk-rock and singer/songwriters of the 70s and 80s, with a bit more modern pop, rock and folk, and even a bit of Motown thrown in. He can provide background instrumental music with jazz standards, fingerstyle pieces and Celtic tunes, and if needed can add some other players for a duo, trio, or full band format for larger/louder settings.

TESTIMONIALS

"If you run a venue or festival you need to book Dave Nachmanoff. He is seriously awesome. Of course, so is the bass player, Mike Lindauer. The rhythm guitarist (Al Stewart, yes, that Al Stewart) ain't too shabby either. Dave is great and puts on a fantastic show. Buy his CDs and go to his shows when he's in your town." - Glen Pilant (Longtime House Concert presenter - Houston, TX)

“Dave drew the listeners into his world, and on a very warm night, made it easy (for us, at least) to forget about the heat. Dave invited the audience to sing along on many songs, and unlike some concert experiences, it really felt as if we were a family greeting each with song.” - Henry Lefkowitz (House Concert Participant, Baltimore, MD)
