Specialty programs include songs for children, St Patrick's Day, Cinco de Mayo, Memorial/Veteran's Day, 4th of July, Halloween and Christmas. Having been a featured performer for 15 years on a Caribbean Cruise Ship, he has performed for people from all over the world, and has an ability to judge an audience and provide exactly what is needed for any given setting. This makes him well-suited to any performing situation. He even brings his own self-powered sound system for events on the beach or among the redwoods! Steve also performs with a flautist or second guitarist, a female vocalist, with a jazz trio or bands featuring Classic Rock, Blues, Variety/Top 40, Latin or Country. With this variety of entertainers he can provide for the needs of your event from start to finish; e.g. a solo keyboardist or guitarist for the wedding and cocktail hour, jazz trio for dinner, and a full band for the reception/dance party. As a solo instrumentalist his repertoire contains selections from Sinatra, Elvis, The Beatles,Van Morrison, James Taylor and Sting to modern artists such as John Mayer, Shakira, Jack Johnson and Jason Mraz. Classical pieces such as Cannon in D by Pachebel, Handel’s Water Music, Trumpet Voluntary, Traditional Bridal March and Recessional and others are also part of Steve's repertoire. Feedback

  • Gary was a true professional. He has a great voice, perfect for his excellent guitar playing and even learned 2 new songs for our wedding on top of his broad range of songs. He was at the event ahead of time and played perfectly through out our pre/post wedding ceremony. We received several compliments from our guests. Amy & I were very glad we selected Gary to play at our wedding and would recommend him to anyone! Amy & Tom Rogers (October 2010) -- Tom R, Sonoma, CA, 10/10/2010
  • I read all the reviews about Steven Gary and they couldn't be more correct. We booked him through Gigmasters and stayed in contact with him through email and phone calls and he was very fast on responding. We emailed him the list of songs we wanted that weren't on his list and even a John Mayer version of Free Fallin and he absolutely nailed them during our wedding! This guy is legit and brings an awesome old school acoustic guitar. Unfortunately I never even got the chance to meet him, but I saw him and heard him playing and after the ceremony everyone kept saying how good he sounded. If he's available, book him. -- Lacey V, Sunol, CA, 8/28/2010
  • Steven was absolutely perfect for our wedding entertainment. He has it all: great voice, great personality, excellent guitarist, hundreds of songs categorized by genre, will learn songs upon request, responds promptly to emails, dresses to blend with your occasion, encourages you to create your own songlist so every song is one you want, flexible and agreeable. You can not find a better choice for a singer/guitarist. His website lists his public performances, so you can go see him ahead of time if you wish. Or you can just watch the video on his website to get a glimpse of him. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would. -- Charlie B, Livermore, CA, 8/8/2010
  • We had Steven Gary play at my husband's 50th birthday party. He played all of the type of music we wanted, and the guests enjoyed the entertainment. We would definitely recommend him for an event. He was also very willing to play an extra half hour when we asked him. Thank you. -- Kelly L, San Jose, CA, 9/4/2009
  • Steve Gary was great. We had a beach wedding were he played the music we requested, and brought his own audio equipment so he, the officiant, and bride and groom could be heard, I would highly recommend Steve Gary. -- Peter L, Carmel, CA, 8/8/2008
