BIO
Reminiscent of a Sarah McLachlan in the 1940s, Johnson's soulful vocals, backed by an accomplished jazz trio, soothe and inspire on her recent CD 'Midnight Blue' released early 2012. Midnight Blue introduces Johnson as a unique writer, her rich emotional voice drifts and pulls its listener through this romantic jazz album, recorded in Paramus NJ.

Singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter, Johnson's award-winning songs (Song of the Year contests, 2010 and 2011) are but some of many highlights on her original new album. She brings an eclectic background performing in multiple genres - from classical, Broadway/cabaret, Celtic/Irish to jazz - to her current focus as a songwriter. Daughter of a classical piano teacher (and Mozart lover), Johnson grew up in Madison NJ, she trained professionally as a modern dancer (Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance) before becoming a singer. She has sung at various concert rooms and venues throughout NJ, NYC, LA, Hawaii and internationally over the last 20 years. Her first cd 'My Secret Garden' was recorded in 2003 with Ben Wisch.
