KEVONNA ROSE Singer Guitarist from Clayton, NJ

Kevonna Rose, a singer/songwriter out of South Jersey, who is up and coming on the scene. She is quickly captivating her audiences and expanding her fan base. Her songwriting is full of depth and substance, but absorbs easily because of its melodic structure. Singing came naturally for Kevonna; she was born into a family with a long history of musicians and singers. Kevonna eventually took on playing the guitar, followed by songwriting. Both came very naturally for her as she continued to fine tune her voice. In 2012, Kevonna entered and won the national “Wawa Welcome America” singer/songwriter contest in Philadelphia. On July 4, 2012 she had the privilege of performing on the same stage as Lauryn Hill, Common, Joe Jonas, Philly's own The Roots and many more as the opening act for the “Wawa Welcome America” concert. Kevonna is a natural on stage and was un-phased by performing live in front of 500,000 people as well as the thousands more watching on 6 ABC. Most recently, Kevonna Rose has performed on the world famous Apollo stage during their Amateur Night at the Apollo competition. Recently, Kevonna was asked what she would contribute to the music industry, she responded "I want to make meaningful and substance-filled music that will last for many generations, just as the great musicians of the past.” Kevonna Rose is a true professional with a passion for music and performing. Whether she is performing for an intimate group with her acoustic guitar or a large crowd with her full band, her creativity and distinct soulful sound is sure to please!
