Sylvia has over 38 years experience in exclusively cutting silhouette profile portraits. Sylhouettes by Sylvia offers full service and offers a professional experience. Paper and Scissors is all Sylvia needs to hand-cut a silhouette profile portrait.
Each silhouette is indvidually cut in less than two minutes, creating an exceptional likeness of each person. Your guests will receive their hand-cut profile portrait, mounted on a white 5x7 card ready for framing.
In 1975, Sylvia started cutting silhouette profile portraits at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA - "America's 1st Theme Park". Sylvia is a self-taught Silhouette Artist. Sylvia's background includes cutting silhouettes of tourists from all over the world, she is able to cut hundreds of silhouettes at your event.
One of Sylvia's memorable performances was a private birthday party at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Many rock n' roll performers attended, including former Beatle; George Harrison. (Sylvia is a Beatles fan.)
Clients include; DreamWorks Animation, Mikimoto, Red 25 Events; CoCo Dot; GaGa Chic; Majell Del Castillo Events; Hairroin Salon; The Knot; March of Dimes, Kapture Vision and more. "We LOVED Sylvia! We hired Sylvia for our wedding and she was absoultly AMAZING! She was not only professional, but was also very sweet. Her sylhouettes where absoultly beautiful! She also said to send our bridal party profile pics & she'd cut their silhouettes before the wedding to be able to do More guests!! She arrived on time & all of our guests adored her work & thought the silhouette idea was awesome for our wedding! • Accessible, easy to reach
• Accommodating to our needs – asks us if she could incorporate our theme; cut out our silhouettes to place as samples; visited me a month prior to cut out a sample silhouette for my daughter
• On time – arrived 30min prior to the event
• Brought her daughter to help mount & most importantly, keep the attention of our little distracted guests
• Offered single and double person silhouettes
• Each silhouette came mounted and in a plastic baggie for our guests to take home
• She even offered to help us clean up after the event!
