A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Charles Pittman aka "The Rocky Top Santa" has been performing as a professional "Santa" for the last ten years, across the southern U.S., including having been " Mississippi's Official Governor's Mansion Santa Claus" 2004-2011 for former Mississippi Governor and Mrs. Haley Barbour. Charles, also as "Grandpa Santa," along with his four year-old granddaughter Claire Cox, have been featured on NBC's WBIR-TV Knoxville, The Knoxville News Sentinel, Knoxville's Shopper News and many other media outlets. All appearance financial proceeds, received by "The Rocky Top Santa," go to the Claire Cox Medical Fund. Claire is the four year-old daughter of Charles Pittman aka "The Rocky Top Santa." Claire was the victim of a pre-birth stroke resulting in her limited ability/use of her right leg, arm and hand. Her non-insured medical treatment cost are excessive.
