About Vendor

THE MAGIC SANTA CLAUS has a real beard and performs a Magic Show before hand delivering all your gifts! He will also pass out treats or candy you provide, read a story or poem of your choice, deliver all labeled gifts, then sit for photos with everyone. He also will provide a huge red bag to hold your gifts and bring them in. (Hint: Meet him in the driveway and he will call when around the corner.) This is designed for a family or office group of about a dozen, at $200, and includes a 15-20 minute Magic Show as well. Larger groups or longer times may also be accommodated. BUT BE SURE TO CALL EARLY--BECAUSE HOLIDAY DATES ARE. . .VANISHING! When not performing as THE MAGIC SANTA CLAUS, Magician Loch David Crane portrays an exciting western character: BAFFLIN' BILL CODY. Using authentic Lakota Indian props and stories, the audience is drawn into a nostalgic representation. Volunteers help in every effect, picking cards and examining props. He uses family-clean comedy and dresses in an 1860s replica of Cody's outfit. He offers shows in 20, 30, and 45 minutes' length on stage, and can also perform as closeup magic on an hourly basis for moving lines, buffets, and large crowds. The cost is also $200 per hour, plus transportation. Retired university professor Crane can saw volunteers in half--and put them back together--during his exciting READING REWARD ASSEMBLY program for K-12 ages. This show includes half an hour historical presentation as Cody, then 15 more minutes of scary-but-safe hilarity in which I apparently Saw in Half the Principal, V-P, coach, retiring teacher, or whomever you wish to honor on stage. The reading Reward Assembly has special Magic Words: "If you read, you can succeed!" Suitable for K-12 students; ask to see school references or see me right now by searching for me on the web. Assemblies are $300 each and include the incredible Sawing a Person in Half (the easy part) and returning him or her to duty afterward (the Magical part)! As a retired teacher he then developed a medieval character MERLIN-YE-MAGE when the cowboy was "reined in" for using a bang gun and authentic Indian knife on stage. To please zero tolerance school officials the new act has no weapons, adding more spooky mind reading activities and visible rope escapes instead. This act plays better across Europe because of their heritage of knights, castles, and chivalry. You may see it also on the web. The transportation fee is $1.50 per mile if outside the City of San Diego, and a single hotel room if over 100 miles. Loch David Crane has been an entertainer since the 1960s and for five summers he traveled and performed across Europe, donating over a dozen shows to troops and families aboard US Army and Air Force bases. He performed in Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Germany (speaking German) in the country's oldest medieval town--in the town square before the night watchman's graveyard tour! Crane has donated shows to the Superbowl celebrations in San Diego 1988 and 1998, entertained athletes from the 1984 Olympic games, and in 1998 went to sea aboard the USS Kitty Hawk to Saw in Half the Executive officer. See him NOW on by searching his name(s) and under his unique character names as well.

Christmas PartyReviewed on December 13, 2014From San Diego, CA

This was a horrible experience. Never would recommend him and below is why 1. I asked him to show up, greet the children, read a book and the hand out gifts to children. Nothing crazy. NONE OF THIS HAPPENED. - he showed up out of costume in front of my house where all kids could see him getting dressed - I had kids asking me (is Santa real?) - he was absolutely rude to the children, told them he was in costume, was horrible to my son and I'm the one paying him, and wasn't going to read the story to the kids. I kept having to tell him to read it, allow kids to take pictures etc. I would never hire him again. In fact he was not worth the $175 at all.

Magician Loch David Crane:

This mother is unjustifiably angry at my snubbing her son. But she never mentioned his birthday or introduced us. I still don't know his name or age; there were no birthday signs, balloons, or gifts. EVERY child got a gift, a candy cane, and a photo. When Mom asked me to read the story, I changed from costume to reading glasses and read aloud, showing pages. I did not dress in the street: I only put on my fur coat, removed to drive. The Magic Santa Claus is real, not rude. All her and her guest's photos will show happy smiles on the kids; ask to see them. Mom drank Mimosa during the show,Dad thanked and tipped me $20, then Mom wrote an untrue review.

Holiday PartyReviewed on December 23, 2014From Escondido, CA

My name is Fred, Grandfather and host of the Family Christmas event held at my home on this evening. I personally found your website and had my Daughter initiate the phone call to our selected Santa and make the arrangements. He showed up with a Santa Suite with Company logo's front and back. He was wearing ear rings and metal bracelets all pointed out by my seven year old Grand Daughter. His verbal generic presentation was not personal but corporate! Ask questions of your Santa requesting a professional Santa Suite, removal of any jewelry and insure he has made house calls before! Its hard to answer children's suspicious questions when not prepared! Not Good!

Magician Loch David Crane:

When Grandpa and daughter saw my web site, they knew I was a MAGIC SANTA CLAUS, not just a fat bearded guy. They approved and hired me. MAGIC SANTA CLAUS is sewn on the suit, branding me as unique. The watch I wear times the shows. The corporate comment is an undeserved insult, as I am a 50 year performer with much more than a "ho ho." I deliver all gifts, read your story, hand out candy canes, then photos with all. Look at the happy photos! They got all that and more--a Magic Show! Santa's reality is that he drives, needs glasses, and wears a watch. You must face reality with your children; they will see many Santas this year, but only one MAGIC SANTA!
