La Orquesta C.A.N.I., comprised of some of Latin and Jazz music's top recording and performing musicians is becoming synonymous with Salsa music and the NYC Latin music scene. L.O.C. never ceases to deliver quality and professional performances for any kind of event from private parties and weddings to corporate and club events.

Led by renowned percussionist, Hector Jr, L.O.C. a Latin salsa band created in New York City in 1999 has been delivering it's own brand of "high energy" Latin salsa music to satisfied clients for over a decade.

We specialize in traditional classic salsa music from the 70's, 80's, & 90's such as Ray Baretto, Eddie Palmerie, Roberto Roena, Pete El Conde, Bobby Valentine, Bad Street Boys, Rey Ruiz, Elvis Crespo, Tito Puente, Hector La Voz and Willie Colon. We also play Latin Jazz, boleros, bachata, merengue, cumbia and Descarga jam.

The sound that defines La Orquesta C.A.N.I is the sound of our awesome brass section made up of 3 trombones. The "power house" of that trombone section when hiring our full band gives you and your guests a feeling of being at the Palladium, Latin Quarter, Village Gate or Copacabana back in the days and coupled with our hypnotic percussion and rhythm section made up of Timbales, Congas and Bongos to help drive our energy and focus, you and your guests will be dancing all night, just like you were 21 all over again.

• Hector and his band were exceptional in performance & professionalism. I must start by saying that they were on time. They were responsive to my requests. All of the guests were asking how I found them & comm. I was concerned that a 5 piece salsa band might not be able to produce the type of sound that I expected. I was completely wrong. They were just fantastic. They were also very patient with the dozen children also at the event. They allowed the children to try the bongos & sing into the mike, which I thought was just terrific. • I think that the band was great, but did not play like I had asked which was in 15 min increments and playing off the dj. The band in turn ended leaving sooner than the event was over. However, they were great and my guests really enjoyed themselves. -- Marisol D, Warren, NJ, 8/13/2010
• The whole band was not booked to perform, so I can not speak on the sound of the band as a whole, but the band that played at our event had a good sound. The actual process of getting the band booked was rather difficult because everything had to be done by mail since nothing could be emailed or faxed to the band (something that we feel is required in for a business in this day and age). The band had three sets, all of which they did not play in its entirety and continuosly left the stage early. • They showed up late and the sound person never showed up. The DJ was not equipment with the music list given to him three weeks before the event.
