The Clearing is an acoustic trio* (2 guitarist/vocalists/harmonica/mandolin/ukulele + 1 bass/percussion) from Toronto, ON that plays a wide-variety of classic rock, Top 40 and original music. Originally hailing from Bathurst, New Brunswick and Vernon, BC, The Clearing brings their down-home, upriver kitchen-party vibe to bring the party to life. Because The Clearing has been playing together since 2008, their ever-evolving repertoire, which includes songs from contemporary acts like Mumford & Sons, Lumineers, Daft Punk and Adele as well as classic party bands like Trooper, Proclaimers, CCR, Tom Petty is well-polished and very fun. Some of the bands' most popular performances are acoustic mash-up-medleys of popular songs. Their ability to read a room and adjust to the mood on the fly has been a key to their success. Dinner-time mellow songs evolve into get-up-and-dance-til-sweat-is-soaking-through-your-new-dress-shirt. The Clearing is an authentic band of friendly, sociable singer-songwriter-rocknrollers who are eager to bring real music and real fun to your event!
*For selected gigs, a full 5 piece rock band is available at the drop of a hat as well. Sound system available. DJ packages available too.

These wonderful men were extremely great!! We couldn’t have asked for a better band to join us on our wedding day!!
The Clearing had everyone on the dance floor, cheering, jumping, dancing and shook the whole barn. They even learned our first dance song which was one of the highlights of the evening for me, it was like our own little concert.
A very kind, fun, professional group and I would recommend them to any function. We had a lot of inquiries this past weekend and I wish I had a videographer at the wedding to capture some of the dancing moments!
What a blast and we thank you with everything we got!!

Stephan, Eric, and Jay played for us at our wedding reception and it was the best decision of our wedding. My wife and I believe they went above and beyond, Eric ending up playing acoustic guitar for th ceremony, they set us up with nice background music while people ate, they learned our first dance song just for us, and even managed to learn the father daughter dance song even though we gave them less the 24 hours notice. They had everybody dancing and singing along and gave the whole wedding a very personal feel. Thanks so much guys we had a blast!!

The band was fantastic, easy to work with, and very accommodating about song selection. During the wedding, they were flexible with a time delay and reacted gracefully during an impromptu power outage. They brought a great energy to the festivities and came with the absolute perfect set list.
