About
The Brian Odell band is a one-stop-shop rock cover and original band combining acoustic & electric guitars with turntables and percussion with many years' experience. We provide DJ services (a la cart, if needed), solo performances (acoustic guitar & vocals), duets (2 guitars & 2 vocals), trios, full-band performances (5 pieces), sound reinforcement, and lighting. Not only that, we can tailor our performance to your engagement's needs.
This group of young musicians regularly performs in the Portland and Seattle metro areas. Although young, each musician has decades of stage and studio experience and have served as the headliners for many dozens of nightclubs, in addition to performing at weddings, festivals, TV stations, parties, and corporate events.
With influences from Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, O.A.R., to Led Zeppelin and Radiohead, the Brian Odell Band creates a unique sound by incorporating turntables, steel drums, percussion, and guitar effects into its music. Additionally, the band prides itself on rendering a unique, but wholly familiar renditions of songs from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and today.
Speaking of turntables…..Need a DJ? The Brian Odell Band's got that covered! We are the only Pacific Northwest rock acts to feature turntables and 12-string guitars! Apart from adding a fresh, contemporary flavor to the music, our DJ means that we have your entire event's music needs covered. Don't forget that we are as comfortable performing all manner of engagements from dinner sets to festivals, wedding receptions, corporate parties, and more .
The Brian Odell Band prides itself on professionalism, versatility, energy, and uniqueness.
Additionally, we can provide a sound system (capable of covering a medium sized room or small ball room) and sound technician.

"I planned my wedding from Chicago so I wasn't able to meet with bands or go see them play. I knew I wanted a live band that could play more contemporary music and that wasn't just a wedding band. The Brian Odell band was the perfect find. Joe is very responsive, organized, professional, helpful and nice. The band was willing to learn a couple of songs for us and handled our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception (solo for ceremony, duet for cocktail and full band for reception). They are great at reading the crowd and had the whole wedding dancing the whole time. They also graciously obliged a karaoke request. We were lucky to find them. They are AMAZING!!!!!!"

They really went above and beyond in making our wedding reception a dream come true! "Look no further! The Brian Odell Band played our wedding reception on July 28th of 2012 and we couldn't be happier! Working out the details prior to the event was exceptionally smooth and stress free. Our questions were answered promptly and courteously. There were absolutely no surprises as they were extremely well prepared and managed everything with unmatched professionalism. These qualities meant so much to us in planning such an important event but could have easily been overshadowed by their performance. It was a hot day and even though our guests just ate dinner, the band's energy summoned everyone to the dance floor. Truly an amazing experience!"
