Description

Hi!

My name is Steve Curto and I am a Keyboard/Vocalist professionally performing since 1975, have been playing piano for 43 years. Currently I perform as a "One-Man-Band" keyboard/vocalist, using only the very best, studio recorded, live musician, full band arrangements that I sing and play along with. That means you hear drums, bass, guitar, horns, strings, background vocals, whatever the original song had, I stay as true to the original arrangement and sound as possible. (check out the audio examples on this page...)

My influences are what I love to play, namely 50s, 60's, 70's, 80's classic rock, R&B, contemporary, pop, country, and dance music, (in the likes of Elton John, Billy Joel, Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs, America, Journey, Kenny Loggins, Stevie Wonder etc..) and can do a variety of engagements that include mellow dinner sets, to full on dancing, rocking up tempo entertainment, and everything in between. I also take any and all requests, and always work within the atmosphere that YOU create. (check out the full "setlist" of over 100 songs on this page too...) I can also perform stictly "acoustic" piano music, (instrumental or with vocals) which is perfect for Weddings, Receptions, Seasonal or even Corporate Events.

As a bonus, I play "DJ" in between my live sets, with over 10,000 songs in every style of music, to keep the entertainment going at the highest level. You can contact me prior to your event with a request list of anything you like, and I will either be performing it or playing it on the breaks. My equipment is absolutely state of the art, so what you hear is of extremely high fidelity and quality. And as of December 2011, I have added a new light show (including lasers) for a completely fun late night dance scene.

I am a fun, totally easy going guy, with TONS of experience, and absolutely love to play music.

Thanks for your considering me, I really look forward to working with you, please don't hesitate to call as I am very flexible.

Steve Curto

  • Stephen was fantastic - he made our party an event. I would definately hire him again, and so will many of our guests. -- Rosie D, Torrance, CA, 12/22/2007
  • Stephen was great! He made our evening very enjoyable. He played a fantastic selection of songs, & has a great voice. His full band arrangements with backing tracks & background vocals is unbelievable! Very professional, started exactly on time, & even learned the request for "our" song, Elvira. He was a big hit & will definitly be hired again. -- Barbara L, San Diego, CA, 12/18/2007
  • Steve Curto is an amazing musician. His voice is silky and smooth. His presence and showmanship is top notch. He showed up on time, set up efficiently and was polite and courteous. He has an extensive set list that everyone really enjoyed. He played 4 hours at our event and we loved him so much, we extended him another hour. It was wonderful easy listening during the cocktail and dinner hours, but then when we wanted things to heat up, he was right there to accommodate us. We thoroughly recommend him as you will not be disappointed. -- Andy F, Westlake Village, CA, 8/18/2007
