Covert Agenda band is a five-piece fusion of rock, blues, and jazz. The members hail from Nashville, Murfreesboro, and Mt. Juliet, TN. All five players have been in the music business for many years and have played in a multitude of bands throughout their careers. The many different styles that each member brings to the project has created a very unique sound, one that is very hard to pigeon-hole.********** The band's playlist includes covers of many popular tunes from a diverse list of artists such as: Sheryl Crow, Tom Petty, Steely Dan, Prince, Beatles, Sade, Joan Osborne, CCR, and Willie Dixon. The band would tell you that part of the fun is in taking great songs from other artists and re-arranging them to become your own unique version. A great example of this process is the Covert Agenda version of the Beatles' Norwegian Wood, which takes that song to places you'd never expect!********** But the heart and soul of Covert Agenda exists in the original songs that have been written by this band. Imagine driving, infectious rhythms, well crafted orchestration, killer guitar riffs, unique vocal stylings, cool lyrics, and a sense of humor, and you begin to form an inkling of what this band is all about. Some of their original song titles include: Neurotoxins, Rhetorical Questions, We put the funk in Dysfunction, Baby Gives Me the Blues, Lazy Eye, and Blow Up Doll.
